(11/8/12)  We ended the season on a tough note losing 17-14 on the road against Arroyo High. It was another nail-biter and another one we were inches away from earning the win, but could not finish the deal. This marks the 4th game that came down to the final minute that we unfortunately could not win. That is a challenge to face! I am proud of the players who fought through and went hard until the end. We learned a key lesson: do all that you can to make it far above the mark instead of coming up just short. Leave no doubt! This will help in the future, whether it be football, school, work or life. That is the great thing about football, you can learn great life lessons both in victory and defeat.

With the loss, the season comes to a close. The coaching staff and I want to thank all the players who worked very hard, all the families, volunteers, supporters and positive enthusiastic fans! Thank you for everything. We especially want to thank the seniors. Thank you and go out there and take these lessons and Hornet Pride, Hornet Work Ethic to your future. You will do well

God bless. GO HORNETS!!

(10/9/12)  First if all, thanks to God, family, and friends.

Our boys in the past few weeks have faced Hillsdale, Encinal, and Tennyson. They have played at a high level of intensity which has lead to some big victories.

With the offense averaging 40.6 points per game and the defense giving up only 12.6 points per game, this team has definitely hit the season's stride and I look forward to the rest of the league games.

(9/25/12)  The Freshman football team improved their record to 3-1 with their 14-8 win over Justin-Siena of Napa. Mica Sanchez and Tahjon Bass each rushed for over 100 yards and a touchdown in the Hornets win over the Braves. Mica also caught a 2pt. conversion from QB Colby Freeman. Freeman finished the game 5 of 7 passing for 65 yards.

Sanchez also led the defense in tackles. Sione Mesui and Aaron Thomas led the defensive line that shut down Justin's veer offense. Freeman and Tyler Chung each made interceptions. Justin scored on a 65-yard punt return.

The Freshman do not have a game this week, so several players will move up to the JVs to beat Encinal on Friday night. Playing JVs this week are: Mica Sanchez, Colby Freeman, Sione Mesui, Christian Gross, Harrison Overfelt, Jake Paulus, Alec Denney and Tony Riley.

The next Freshman game is Oct. 4th at Bishop O'Dowd.
